Tie Rod Lock Plate

Secures the tie rod assembly to the steering rack

Per BMW, this securing plate should be replaced whenever the tie rod assembly is removed. This lock plate is deformed around the inner tie rod end and acts as a mechanical lock between the inner tie rod and and steering rack.
