Rack Boot

Steering rack boots may seem like a trivial component but they are in fact extremely important. For one, the steering rack boots keep moisture and dirt from collecting inside the end of the steering rack which can easily damage the steering gear. In addition, the inner tie rod joint is also protected by the boot.

If there are any holes or if the boot is missing entirely we recommend immediate replacement of the boots. We also recommend installing new boots when replacing the tie rod assemblies.
